Each autumn the City of Cullman celebrates its' rich German heritage by hosting the annual Oktoberfest. The Cullman County Museum serves as the information headquarters for the event and is the location for the main entertainment tent for all festival events.
The Museum offers a number of special tours and exhibits during the festival which is held the first full week of October each year.
Community events include authentic German meals, church fairs, family games, arts anc crafts, the Junior Art Show, Culllman Historict District tours, Heritage Play, Weiner Dog Race, Volksmarch, bratwurst easting contest and lively music.
